「Embroidery」は“刺繍する・縫い取りする”、「Ape」は猿……“縫う猿”という感じしょうか。
絵巻の侯健の好漢画は鮮やかな刺繍糸を操っているので、ぴったりですね。
えっ、モンキー(monkey)じゃないの?と思うかもしれませんが、
モンキーはニホンザルのような「シッポのある小型の猿」、
エイプはゴリラ、チンパンジーなど「シッポのない大型のサル、あるいは類人猿」と区別があります。
SFの名作『猿の惑星』も原題は『Planet of the Apes』。
侯健、一応、シッポはないですから、エイプです。
ちなみに、中国語だと猿がエイプ、猴がモンキーです。
ですので、侯健は“通臂猿”、孫悟空は“美猴王”となるわけですね。

Embroidery Ape immediately changed sides and joined with the Liang-Shan Warriors.
He was drowned at the battle of Hang state during the Dark Guru War.
